The future of our country won't be determined by the promises of politicians. It will be decided by the faith of our fathers.

On September 10th, Forever Families and the Tennessee Smokies are partnering to call all men of faith across our area together for a powerful night that could impact east Tennessee for generations.

"More than anything else, our country needs revival," states Jeff McElroy. "But we won't have revival in our country until it begins in our homes. And revival in our homes will only follow repentance in our men. It's time for us to take responsibility for the state of our culture. In an unprecedented time of the confusion of truth and the assault on character, kids today are desperate for love and leadership. It's past time we, who are called by His name, humble ourselves, repent of our sins, and cry out for the healing of our land."

Research is clear - when men become involved fathers, loving husbands and authentic disciples, everything changes. Children become stronger, more purposeful, and more secure in who they are in Christ. The culture becomes safer, more productive, and more willing to stand for Truth.

Join with men across our area on Sunday, September 10th as we fight for the future through the Faith Of Our Fathers.

As perhaps the most popular and respected voice on Knoxville radio and TV, Hallerin inspires, educates and challenges people to consider what they think and why they think it. He is a man of many talents and passions. When he's not on the radio on TV, he may be speaking at an event, motivating people, using his musical gifts to write grammy-nominated songs, or managing the hottest new artist, Chris Blue. Talk to him for any length of time, though, and it'll be clear his top two passions are his God and his family. Hallerin will share how his father shaped him, why fatherhood is so important to him personally, and the impact of what he calls “The Daddy Deficit.”

Michael doesn't just talk about priorities. He lives them. At the height of his career with NewSong, Michael left the road to pursue the hearts of his family more than those of his fans. His relationships with his wife and kids were becoming strained, so he poured himself back into loving his wife as Christ loves the church and leading his children by being whole-heartedly present in their lives. While he is still used around the country as a worship leader for some of the largest men's and women's events around, he continues to keep his family close. In addition to leading us in worship, Michael will share his powerful testimony of breaking free from the chains of pornography years ago so he could live a life of worship, not just have a career in one.

Jeff and his wife, Debby, are one of the most sought-after couples to speak and teach about marriage, family and parenting. While working for IBM and pursuing a career in corporate law, Jeff became burdened with what he saw as the greatest threat to the future of America - the breakdown of the family. He and Debby founded their ministry and travel the world ministering to families in churches and for organizations like Chick-fil-A's WinShape Marriage foundation, the US military, and Joni Erickson Tada's "Joni & Friends" ministry for special needs families. Jeff's humor and heart, combined with his straight-forward message, resonates with men and motivates them to become the husbands, dads and spiritual leaders they were called to be.

Coach Barnes see his highest calling as being something much more than leading teams to championships, it's leading people to Christ. Make no mistake - he is one of the most competitive men you'll ever meet. And he is the epitome of someone who is driven to win. But he decided he wanted his legacy to be about more than winning games. He wants to win souls to Christ. And more than being driven to be famous as a successful coach, his passion is to be famously present in the life of his family as a devoted husband, dad and grandfather.  Tommy Kyle, Executive Director of Nations Of Coaches says about Coach Barnes, "I've traveled with many coaches and great leaders, but there is not a single one of them that even begins to compare to Rick. He is a man that lives the values and priorities the Lord calls us to live better than anyone else I've seen!"

We watched in heart-breaking agony as he sat through the trials of the murder of his precious daughter, Channon, and her boyfriend, Chris Newsom. We witnessed as rage and hatred slowly consumed him as he dealt with the taunts of the perpetrators and the failures of the justice system. We hurt for him, stood behind him, and prayed for him. It's been ten years since those horrid crimes. While our lives have moved on, we have not forgotten Gary.

Nor has the Lord.

On September 10th, you'll hear Gary share his journey with God, and how He gently carried Gary through his grief. Now Gary ministers to other families who lose children to crime. As the founder of the No More Victims foundation, he helps girls and women get training for self-defense. His Shepherds Riding Club now serves to raise money for kids all over the country while honoring the memory of his precious daughter.

His testimony will challenge you to deal with your own anger, inspire you to trust in a God that is greater than the evil that lurks around us, and remind you to tell your family you love them every chance you get.

He holds 2 Tennessee state records for his two 62 yard field goals in high school. He was a 4-time ALL-SEC placekicker, 4-time Academic ALL-SEC student athlete, and a captain of the 1998 national championship football team. He played in the NFL for the Washington Redskins and St. Louis Rams. He’s led overseas mission projects around the world, and now serves our community as a senior advisor at Rather & Kittrell and motivational speaker on stewardship of time, talents, resources and relationships. With all of these accolades, you know which matters most to Jeff? Being the husband to his wife, Stacey, and the father of his four children. His passion for being the leader he was called to be in his home, church and community is inspiring and infectious!

As a coach with one of the most successful records in Knoxville area high school football, Coach Randy McKamey knows what it's like to win. But he also knows what it's like to lose. In 2014, his son, Will, died while playing football for Navy. Will's life and legacy quickly made an impact that reverberated around the country. While Randy deeply mourned with his wife, Kara, he had to somehow find a way to remain present in the lives of his three children and his team of players who were also mourning the loss of a brother and dear friend, while all questioning their faith in the process. Randy's story is an inspiring one of faith (in the love of the Father), hope (in the knowledge he'll see his son again) and love (for his wife, kids and students). Someone once said, "A faith that hasn't been tested can't be trusted." Randy McKamey has a faith both tested and trusted.

Is this event only for men who are fathers?

Absolutely not! This is for all men. The truth is, if you're a man in our community, your life is impacting the children of our community. Your are setting either a positive or destructive example for the young people in our churches and across our area. We want to help you to live the best life possible so you can make the greatest impact possible on the next generation!

Can I bring my children?

Only if they are sons, 13 and older. We will be addressing men's issues in marriage, like sex and intimacy, and strongholds that can impair men's ability to lead successfully, like pornography. We will be bold and blunt to cut straight to the point. As long as he is 13 or older, we will leave it to your discretion to decide whether your son is old enough to handle those subjects in that context.

How can I get involved?

We're glad you asked! We need volunteers who can help us:

Distribute materials to your church, business, school and area to get the word out.

Connect with present or past professional athletes, coaches or celebrities that are strong leaders who might be willing to be guest speakers or upload special messages to our men at the event.

Connect with area businesses, churches or organizations who wish to sponsor the event.

Can churches be sponsors?

Absolutely! Several are choosing to do just that by securing luxury suites to honor men in their church who have been great spiritual role-models, or to bless men who have gone through difficult situations. The jumbotron promotions that come with sponsorships are also a great way to promote your church's ministry to men!

What if it rains?

In the event of rain, the event will be postponed to a later date. You will be notified by email of the new date and your ticket will still be good for that date.
